Editing and Book Doctors
One sign of an agency which might be less than
reputable is one that pushes editing by one editing service raising questions of
a kickback. To avoid that when I suggest a manuscript needs editing and I am
asked for a referral I refer several by sending them to this list. I don't
endorse any on the list but if I found out anything negative about one of them
would remove them from my listing. This also offers someone the opportunity to
do a little comparison shopping. If there is a problem with anyone I list I
would appreciate knowing about it.
